微故事 Wēigùshì is a series of occasional vignettes, written in Simplified Chinese characters for intermediate level adult readers, featuring objects in the 胡同 and in the lives of 枝丫’s denizens.
张老板：“真的，你没有树吗？”
杨助理已经告诉他了，但是张老板还是不敢相信。
张老板胸口里面剩下的树说：这个情况很危险。你必须让这个年轻人接受树。
张老板不理树。
杨助理：“没有。”
张老板和杨助理站在书店前门门口，把书从书架上拿下来，放进箱子里，因为冰柜很快就要送来了。
张老板把一个箱子搬开了，不让它挡住书店前门。
张老板：“这是怎么回事？”
杨助理：“我父母选择不要树。”
张老板：“怎么可能？”
杨助理：“我出生以前，我父母去了树局，告诉他们不要树。”
张老板：“你的父母都同意？没有分歧？”
杨助理：“同意，没有分歧。”
张老板：“很有意思！但是，这样不是在反对政策吗？对不对？”
杨助理：“政策正在慢慢改变。”
张老板：“哦，正在改变，是吗？那他们得交多少钱？”
杨助理：“我不知道。他们不肯告诉我。”
他们继续把书从书架上拿下来，放进箱子里。
杨助理：“我一直在想你丢的沙漏。你觉得在门上装一条锁链，来防止有人偷东西，怎么样？”
张老板：“为什么？”
杨助理：“现在这样，出问题的可能性高。用锁链，出问题的可能性低。”
张老板：“为什么？请解释一下你的逻辑？”
杨助理：“什么意思？”
张老板：“锁链怎么会有让事情变好的可能性？你能举出什么例子吗？”
杨助理 （笑着）：“它不让坏人进来！它让坏人出去！那是事实！”
张老板胸口里面剩下的树说：这个人没有树。他和我们不一样，不是我们这个种族的人。要把外国人挡在外面。
张老板不理树。
张老板：“那门上的锁链怎么分清顾客和坏人？是朋友还是仇人呢？如果我们装一条锁链，两个同时都进不来。两个同时都是外国人。”
杨助理：“当然，我们在门的一面装上锁链。”
张老板：“哪面？即使一面装上锁链，所有人都进不来，也出不去了。”
杨助理：“谢谢你的帮助，让我想一想。我发现说不通。我没想到锁链是双向的。”
张老板：“没问题。谢谢你的帮助，让我也想一想我的书店。我发现他们可以进来买书，也可以出去吃冰棍儿。这样也是双向的。”
杨助理（抬头看）：“我们正好放完书了。冰柜也送到了！”

1. In 微故事：一个冰棍儿, Yang Zhuli asks questions about Zhang Laoban’s bookstore business model. Yang Zhuli suggests selling 像大楼一样的冰棍 xiàng dàlóu yīyàng de bīnggùn popsicle shaped like a building, particularly of the front door of Zhang Laoban’s hutong bookstore.
2. 没有人可以把锁链套在别人的脚上，而最后不发现锁链也套在自己的脖子上。
