微故事 Wēigùshì is a series of occasional vignettes, written in Simplified Chinese characters for intermediate level adult readers, featuring objects in the 胡同 and in the lives of 枝丫’s denizens.

杨助理：“老板，对不起，但是书店的商业模式改变了。大部分的人用手机看书。他们不买书了。”
张老板：“说实话，这让我有点儿难过，你说得对。”
杨助理：“我觉得我们必须加另一个产品。”
张老板：“什么产品？”
杨助理：“我们可以卖文创产品。”
张老板：“什么文创产品？”
杨助理：“你知道那些像大楼一样的冰棍吗？”
张老板：“是的。天坛、地坛、孔庙，对不对？”
杨助理：“对！我们可以卖那些像你的书店一样的冰棍。你卖很多胡同历史的书。大家都喜欢胡同里的四合院。”
张老板：“很有意思。的确是这样。”
杨助理：“你卖古书和难找的书。我们可以卖那些像你古书里东西的冰棍，比如说一个鼎、一块玉佩、一块甲骨文。”
在张老板的想象中，他看到那个浅灰色的三条腿的鼎，那块浅绿色的玉佩，那块浅黄褐色的甲骨文，很多颜色，全都是用冰淇淋做成的。太有创意了！那么漂亮！
更好的是，他书店的冰棍可以是浅红色的，山楂味的！
张老板胸口里面剩下的树说：冷静。别兴奋。先想一想，再做。
好的，好的，张老板不耐烦地想。
突然，张老板想到一个问题：冰棍需要冰柜。冰柜放在哪儿呢？
张老板：“冰柜放在哪儿？”
杨助理：“就在前门里面。”
张老板：“但是那儿有书架。”
杨助理：“那我们少放一个书架。”
张老板：“但是那样会让书也少了。”
杨助理：“对，书也少一些。”
张老板：“但是这是一个书店啊！”
杨助理：“老板，对不起，书店的商业模式改变了。我们需要少一些书，但是我们也需要卖更多东西。两个同时是真的。”
